I’ve tried everything under the sun for Haircare: Verb, Ouaidad, Briogeo, Redken, Amika, OUAI, Livingproof, Pureology, drugstore brands like Tresemme; Suave, Loreal, Dove, Pantene, etc. Nothing has ever worked for my hair, or has been a consistent product, usually gets to a point where I need to clarify, leaves my strands sticky, frizzy, my scalp dry, or all of the above. I have fine, high density 2C-3A waves/curls that are *heavily* colored treated, and more recently highlighted. I also have a super dry, tight scalp post Accutane (1 year ago) and it’s gotten worse since I’ve turned 25. I was close to giving up as I felt like I’ve tried everything and figured I needed to just settle for something.
I came across these because I was actually making a return to Ulta for the Pureology Hydrate line- it overly moisturized my strands to the point it was causing further damage and split ends from hygral fatigue, while also causing major tightness, dryness and irritation to my scalp to the point it was truly painful, the only thing that would work was putting Amika Hydro Rush mask on my scalp (how does that even make sense?). Well, the cashier (godsend) told me about these and said they were a game changer for her. I was a little iffy about them because every shampoo and conditioner bar I’ve tried has left my hair oily, coated with residue and stuck together. Not these.
